Clinton A. Underdahl, 89, of Owatonna, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House.

He was born February 2, 1921 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Andrew and Emma (Hofdahl) Underdahl. He was raised in the Moland area and attended Kenyon school to the eighth grade. He then moved with his family to Harmony, Minnesota where he worked at Niagara Cave as a guide. He entered into the U.S. Army on October 10, 1942 and served during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and was honorably discharged on October 17, 1945. After his service, he started C.A. Underdahl Construction where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. His final construction project was Lazy-U-Mobile Home Park in Medford where he was the owner and builder.

Clinton was a charter and lifetime member of the VFW and Boy Scout Leader in Medford.

He is survived by son, Terry (and Dianne) Underdahl of Waseca, daughter, Diane (and Scott) Peterson of Slidell, La, daughter, Roxanne Sanders of Owatonna, son, Andrew Underdahl of Medford; sister, Alma Angelstad of Kenyon; 10 grandchildren, Tara (and Todd) Parmenter, Trevis (and Laura) Underdahl, Jessica (and Brent) Etter, Joel Peterson, Ryan Tanberg, Jason (and Missy) Underdahl, Amanda Underdahl, Benjamin Christiansen, Briana Underdahl, Bear Underdahl and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Chris Ann Underdahl and 2 nephews.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Moland Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Moland Lutheran Church with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Interment will be in the Moland Lutheran Cemetery in Merton Township. Honors will be provided by the Kenyon Veterans Color Guard. Memorials are preferred to Moland Lutheran Church.
