Amalia Rodriguez, 85, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the home of her daughter. She was born July 13, 1929 in Eagle Pass, Texas the daughter of Pollo and Antonia (Gutierrez) Castillo. Amalia moved to Owatonna in 1967. She raised her seven children after her husband died at a young age. She enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo. She is survived by her children Enrique Beaver Rodriguez of Owatonna, Oscar (Maggie)Rodriguez of Owatonna, Maria Rodriguez of Owatonna, Irma (Manuel) Escandon of Longview, TX, Gloria Williams of Owatonna, Janey (Armando) Castellanos of Owatonna, and Johnny Rodriguez of Pueblo, CO, she is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren 1 brother and 2 sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday June 21, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at church. Funeral services will be held Monday June 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brian Sutton officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
