Amelia M. Erickson, 68 of Owatonna, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at her home. She was born December 18, 1939 in Rio Grande City, Texas, the daughter of Ramon and Francisca (Garcia) Magana. Amelia grew up in Texas graduating from Rio Grande City High School and later from Permean General School of Nursing. She married Dave Erickson July 10, 1971 in Andrews, Texas. The couple moved to Owatonna in 1996. Amelia is survived by her husband, Dave of Owatonna; children, Dora Martinez, John Castillo, Diana Avarca and Karl Erickson; 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; brother, Rogelio Magana and one sister, San Juanita Barraz. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, her dog 'Tia' and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rufino Magana. Funeral services will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 7 at 10AM with visitation one hour prior to the service.
