Annemarie Elisabeth Wallace, 84, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Cedarview Care Center. She was born September 7, 1924 in Furth, Germany the daughter of Heinz and Marie (Bugler) Trede. Annemarie met her husband, Marlin, while he was serving in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. They were married August 31, 1947 in Owatonna after returning from Germany. The couple made their home in Owatonna following their marriage. Ann worked for Federated Insurance from 1966 until her retirement in 1987. Ann enjoyed reading, flower gardening, playing cards and games. She loved horses and going for drives in the country. She is survived by her sons, Gary (and Cindy) Wallace of Owatonna, Craig (and Mary) Wallace of Woodbury; daughters, Monica Wallace of Cottage Grove, Karen Wallace of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Hannah Wallace, Eli Wallace, Matthew Wallace, David Wallace, Michael Wallace, Megan Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Following the visitation a private family graveside service will be held with Rev. R. Rudolf officiating. Memorials are preferred to Owatonna Area Hospice Patient Care Fund.
