Ardis M. Ross, 73, of Claremont, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Owatonna Hospital. She was born March 8, 1936 in Bismarck, North Dakota the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Utecht) Schmoll. Graduated from Dodge Center High School, and married Ronald Ross August 15, 1958 in Dodge Center, and the couple lived on a farm outside of Claremont. Ardis worked at various jobs outside of the home including the Bakery in Dodge Center. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. Ardis enjoyed puzzles, reading cards, Sudoku, and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Ronald of Claremont; daughter, Carrie (and Tom) Johnson of Owatonna; sons, Clem Ross of St. George, UT, and Craig (and Allison) Ross of Claremont, six grandchildren Andrea 'AJ', Brandon, Andrew, Brittany, Rebekah, and Carly. She is also survived by brother, Melvin (and Myrna) Schmoll of Claremont; sisters, Viola (and Louis) Kraemer of Dodge Center, Helen (and Jack) Peterson of Claremont, and Adeline Schmoll of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by parents, granddaughter Melissa, sister Hazel, and brothers William, Ernest, Marvin, Loren, and Leonard. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday June 12, 2009 from 5-8 PM and at Grace Lutheran Church, Dodge Center on Saturday from 9-10 AM. Funeral service will be held Saturday June 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with The Reverend Robert Lentz officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
