Arlene "Pat" Erickson, 85, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Traditions II. She was born May 30, 1931 in Minneapolis the daughter of Emil and Lois Roepke. She was given the name, Pat, by her sisters and has been known as Pat for 75 years. On July 5, 1956, Pat married Gerald Jerry Erickson. It took him six months to find out that her real name was Arlene. Pat owned and operated the Gold Door Bar, The Office Bar, PJ's Pub and Jo Jo's Pub all in Owatonna. She enjoyed traveling; three trips to England, two trips to Ireland, a month long trip to Europe and Russia, seven cruises, trips to Las Vegas and trips to Cancun. She also enjoyed singing karaoke (especially the Auctioneer Song), playing bingo, cross word puzzles, bar tending and bowling which took her too many state and national tournaments. Pat was a collector of music boxes and dolls, collecting 743, which she later generously donated to the Alzheimer's Association. For the past five years, Pat has lived at Traditions II where she was known as The Sweetheart of Traditions. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Jerry Erickson of Owatonna, children, Sherrie Dunford, James Erickson and Jodie Erickson all of Owatonna; siblings, Yvonne (Gerald) Robinson, Leona Walker, Suzanne (Willie) Roettger, Marion (Ray) Olsen and Kenneth (Nancy) Boucher; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gerald Jr. and Daniel (she always believed God needed special angels); two brothers and one sister In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association. A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, September 16th at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 17th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Owatonna with Fr. Kevin Connolly officiating.
