Arlene Joy Fox, 76, longtime resident of Madelia, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Homestead Hospice House, Owatonna. She was born November 3, 1932 in Comfrey the daughter of John and Henrietta (Seifkes) Evers. After a very early death of her mother, she also had another mother, Minnie Johnson Evers. Arlene graduated from Comfrey High School in 1950. She worked for several area banks prior to her marriage. Arlene married Jim Fox May 6, 1954 at Christ Church in Stately Township near Comfrey. Arlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia. She was a homemaker and volunteered throughout the community. She enjoyed golfing, needlepoint and calligraphy. She is survived by her husband, Jim Fox currently of Owatonna; daughters, Beverly (and Dale) Bowers of Owatonna, Belinda (and Dan) Hisey of Bellingham, WA, Barbie Marsh of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Mike (and Alyssa) Bowers, Jeff (and Stephanie) Bowers, Aubrie Bowers, Ryan Brugger Hisey, Robert Hisey, Drew Hisey, Christie Marsh, Summer Marsh, Stacy Bolante; great grandchildren, Erika and Kendall Bowers, brother, Robert (and Adonna) Evers of Springfield. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret; son, Dave Fox. Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 with The Reverend Bruce Bringle officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Madelia Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are being completed with Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna and Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia. Memorials are preferred to the Handicap Lift Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia or Homestead Hospice House, Owatonna.
