Obituary

Arlene May Holz, 82, of Kenyon went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Faribault Care Center in Faribault, Minnesota. Arlene was born November 19, 1932 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Milford and Nona (Bradley) Hemmelman. She moved with her family to Backus, MN where she graduated from high school in 1950. She married Elmer Holz on November 11, 1950. Together they made their home in Wells, Atwater, Northfield, and finally Kenyon where they resided for over 40 years. Arlene worked various jobs including; Bills Pizza Palace and retired from Foldcraft Company after 25 years of service. Arlene enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing cards and games, gardening and canning. She loved animals, especially her dogs and horses. Her grandchildren always held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her children, Diane (Loren) Bangert of Nerstrand, June (Dennis) Wilson of West Concord, Ellen (Jim) Klennert of Lake City, Elmer Jr. (Lisa) Holz of Glenville, Carl (Rose) Holz of Faribault, Joyce (Bob) Klennert of Zumbro Falls; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Albert Booth of Canada; sister-in-law, Vernetta Bieniek of Faribault; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer on October 18, 2013; parents, Milford and Nona Hemmelman; stepfather, Carl Berge; sisters, Lois and Lucille; daughter-in-law, Irene Holz; granddaughter, Lisa Klennert; grandson, Matthew Caron. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church, Havana Township on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Havana Township with The Reverend Alan Broadwell officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Havana Township. Memorials are preferred to St. Croix Hospice or donor's choice. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the nurses and aides at the Faribault Care Center and to St. Croix Hospice for all their special care given to Arlene.
