Arloine Vera Bluhm, 91, of Owatonna, Minnesota died Friday, September 26, 2014 at Reflections Care Suites at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, Minnesota.
Arloine was born December 14, 1922 in Tomah, Wisconsin the daughter of Victor and Ida (Gerke) Solberg. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah. She graduated from Tomah High School. Arloine was united in marriage to Ed Bluhm and they resided in Tomah. In 1955, they moved to Owatonna. Arloine loved children and provided daycare out of their home for many years.
Arloine loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing board games, card games, and bingo. She was an avid fan of the Twins and Vikings. Arloine was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served on the altar guild.
She is survived by her four daughters, Nan (and Bob) Chambers of Owatonna, Sherry (and Tom) Wacek of Owatonna, Lorie Coon of Indianapolis, IN, and Stacy (and Jim) Hansen of Owatonna; four grandchildren, Lynette (and Brian) Dawley of Owatonna, Nicole Wacek of Owatonna, Jim Coon (and fianc�©, Wanda Cho) of Kissimmee, FL, and Ashley (and Tyler) Klassen of Indianapolis, IN; two great grandchildren, Brogan Dawley and Benjamin Klassen; along with extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ed, son, Randy, and brother, Arlo Solberg.
Visitation will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Tomah, Wisconsin. Memorials are preferred to Reflections Care Suites at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
