Arne L. Buecksler, 87, of Owatonna, died Friday, April 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 27, 1922 in Meriden Township, Minnesota, the son of Oscar and Esther (Fette) Buecksler. Arne grew up in the Meriden area and moved to Waseca, and then to Owatonna where he graduated from Owatonna High School. Arne worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for forty-two years. One of his greatest passions was farming with his father and his son Daryl. Arne was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne, and a former member of Trinity Lone Oak Church. Arne enjoyed farming, his family, antique tractors, and helping family and friends with many projects. He is survived by his four sons Ken (Rose) of Rosemount, Ron (Susan) of Siren, WI, Daryl (Lorrie) of Farmington, Don (Shirley) of Inver Grove Heights, and their mother Shirley Buecksler of Owatonna. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, sisters Florence (Harvey) Grunwald of Forest Lake, Shirley (Glen) Nelson of Owatonna, and brothers Lester Buecksler of Owatonna, Victor (Joyce) Buecksler of Owatonna, and John Buecksler of Luck, WI. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 4-8 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 9-10 AM. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna or Zwingli United Church of Christ Berne.
