Arnold Thomas Gwin, 61, of Owatonna, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 13, 2010. He was born March 30, 1949 in Owatonna the son of Thomas and Dorothy (Brahms) Gwin. Arnie graduated from Owatonna High School with the Class of 1967. He married Ellen Christianson, and the couple was later divorced. Arnold married Sally Steinberg May 1, 1987 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Arnie worked for Josten's at their south town location. He worked for Mustang for more than 20 years and later for Tandem Products Inc. He was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Claremont. He was active in the church Sunday school program and special events. Arnie enjoyed refinishing furniture and his various collections. He loved chocolate, cooking and baking. Family gatherings and time with his grandchildren were always a focus in his life. Arnie is survived by his wife, Sally Gwin of Owatonna; sons, Thomas (and Kim) Gwin of Owatonna, Scott (and Tina) Behne of Faribault; granddaughters, Brianna Behne, Sydney Behne; brother, Sidney Gwin of Owatonna and cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Gwin; niece, Shanell Gwin. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm and at St. John's Lutheran Church, Claremont on Thursday from 10am to 11am. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Keith Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to St. John''s Lutheran Church, Claremont, Owatonna Area Hospice Patient Care Fund or to the donor''s choice.
