Audrey 'Sharon' Maxfield, 71, of Owatonna, died peacefully Monday, June 18, 2012 at Owatonna Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous, short battle with cancer. Sharon was born August 6, 1940 in Ellendale, the daughter of William and Della (Sommers) Johnson. She graduated from Ellendale High School. She worked as a home maker, a waitress at the Nickerson Farm Resuturant, OTC, Truth, WSI and SEMCAC. She married Robert Maxfield, the love of her life, on July 5, 1990. Sharon enjoyed camping, fishing and being on the water. She loved to feed and watch the birds. She was an avid Viking fan and enjoyed playing at the casinos. She loved her family and spending time with them. Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert Maxfield of Owatonna; children, JoAnn (and Gary) Bromley of Mantorville, Gary (and Jody) Johnson of Good Thunder, Rhonda (and the late Mike) Flemming of Owatonna, Diane (and Dennis) Deml of Ellendale, Danny Kasper of Owatonna, Melissa (and Bill) Mitchell of Kasson; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Kathy (and Helmer) Lembke of Elysian; step-daughters, Shelly Maxfield, Tracy Johnson, Becky Gilman; sisters-in-law, Maxine Bracken, Doris Olson; brother-in-law, Kenny Maxfield; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law; brother, Ronald Johnson; son-in-law, Mike Flemming; first husband, Roger Johnson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour before the church service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Karl Korbel officiating.
