Barbara A Jameson, 75, formerly of Owatonna, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. She was born December 6, 1932 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Andrew and Bertha (Waters) Reed. Graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA. She married Donald D. Jameson on October 9, 1951 in Los Angeles. Donald passed away in 1974. They moved to National City, CA, then to Des Moines, IA and finally made Owatonna their home in 1962. Barbara was a clerk at Malm Jewelers for 26 years. Barbara was a very active volunteer. She was a member of the First Church of God in Owatonna; where she was the church treasurer for many years and also attended to the shut-ins and assisted the elderly, by running errands around town. She was very active in school activities with her children, as well as the Girl Scouts, where she was a Scout Leader. Barbara also volunteered at the Bloodmobile in Steele County for many years. Barbara enjoyed reading and bowling with her family. She was a very proud grandmother and she was always happy to lend a helping hand to others. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Debra (Al) Chow of Hawthorne, CA; son, Steven ( Sue) Jameson of Faribault; daughter, Laurie (Timothy) Thrush of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Kevin Justin Chow, Kyle Jameson, Danielle Thrush, T.J. ( Krissie) Thrush; and great-granddaughter, Kiley Ann. Her parents, husband Donald and two sisters preceded Barbara in death. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday September 24 at Michaelson Funeral Home of Owatonna A memorial service will be on Thursday, September 25 at 2 pm, at First Church of God with Reverend Neil Anderson officiating. Light refreshments will be served after the service. A private burial will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
