Barbara Lee Anderson, 61, of Rockford, IL, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Swedish American Hospital, of complications following surgery. She was born June 23, 1947 in Owatonna the daughter of Lloyd H. and Dorothy M. (Hatch) Anderson. She was a school teacher for many years, teaching in the Hononegah School District and also in Australia. Member of Bethesda Covenant Church. Barbara enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was an artist and also taught art. Survivors include sister, Darlene Schuler of Owatonna; nieces, Deb (and Ken) Walker of Faribault, Tammy (and Scott Schwartz) Loquai of Owatonna; great-nieces and nephew, Josh Loquai, Rachel Loquai, Heidi Walker and Gretchen (and Joe) Remington; great great niece haley Remington; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00am -12:00pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Bethesda Covenant Church, Rockford, IL. Burial will be in the LeSueur River Lutheran Cemetery near New Richland.
