Barbara M. Stoltz, 82, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna, Minnesota. Barbara was born March 31, 1935 in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota the daughter of Dirk and Laura (Brune) Terpstra. She graduated Owatonna High School in 1953. Barbara married Paul Stoltz on November 6, 1954 in Owatonna. Barbara stayed home to raise their five children. As the children got older, Barbara worked at Thon's Music Store, Owatonna Tool Company, Cedar Place, Caretaker of apartment buildings, and Cashwise Bakery. In1998, Barbara and Paul moved to Rochester where she worked as a Walmart greeter. Barbara had a caring and loving nature. She loved her family, babysitting her grandchildren, and had a fondness of her cats. She also cared for her parents for ten years. Barbara also enjoyed crossword puzzles, video games, reading, and watching Animal Planet. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (and James) Edstrom of Owatonna; three sons, Gregory (and Shannon) Stoltz of Splendora, TX, Randall (and Betty) Stoltz of Rochester, and Robert (and Sue) Stoltz of Waseca; daughter-in-law, Kris Knudson of Rochester; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Allan Terpstra of Owatonna and John (and Jane) Terpstra of Twin Cities; sisters, Betty Thon of Owatonna and Janet Anonby of Pine Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and son, David Stoltz. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
