Barbara Ellen (Quaintance) Yerhart was born September 6th, 1938 to Oren and Alice (Joslin) Quaintance, on the farm in Dickson County, Iowa. Barbara loved school, had a passion for reading and letter writing, was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan, and an avid animal lover. She was always known for her beautiful smile. She attended country schools, including Owatonna High School, and graduated in 1956 from Kasson-Mantorville High School. Barbara married Leonard J. Yerhart on June 8th, 1957 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Owatonna. They had seven children, including Marie Thurston, Emil (SangYe) Yerhart, James (KyongOk) Yerhart, Mary Yerhart, Peter Yerhart, John (Kimberly) Yerhart, and Andrew Yerhart. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Leonard Yerhart, daughter Mary, and sons Peter and James Yerhart. She has eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Barbara passed peacefully in her sleep on February 8th. Donations can be made in her name to any local Humane Society in lieu of gifts or flowers.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Owatonna MN, on February 13th.Interment will follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in St. Paul Park, MN.
