Bernice Ruth Buss, 101, of Minneapolis, formerly of Claremont, died peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2018 in her apartment at Walker Place.
Bernice was born November 23, 1916 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Axel and Ruth (Benson) Dufva. She graduated from high school in Omaha, Nebraska in 1932. Bernice married Earl Buss at First Covenant Church in St. Paul on December 9, 1953. The couple lived in Claremont until 1996 when they moved to the Minneapolis area to be closer to their son Daniel.
Bernice loved spending time with her family, playing bridge, and especially enjoyed sharing life's moments with her grandchildren.
She is survived by son, Daniel Buss, MD (Christine) of Minneapolis and her grandchildren, Cooper (Jessica), Mackenzie, Charles, Albert, Edward, William, and Felix Buss of Minneapolis.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Buss, and her parents.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 5pm to 7pm and at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11am at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Douglas Walters officiating. Interment will be in Claremont Street Cemetery in rural Claremont. Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church in Claremont.
