Bernice Henrietta Wilkie, 95 of Greenfield, Indiana, formally of Owatonna, Minnesota, was united with her Lord on December 3, 2015. She passed away peacefully at Springhurst Health Campus (Greenfield). She was born January 24, 1920 in Steele County, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Elsie (Mussman) Grunklee. Bernice married Ralph Wilkie on September 26, 1940 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Havana Township. They were married for 65 years. They lived in the Owatonna area until 1945, and then moved to Waltham, Minnesota where they farmed until 2000. In 2000 they moved back to Owatonna where Ralph died on October 14, 2005. In 2008 Bernice moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to be near her son. Bernice is survived by her sons Gary (Sheryl) Wilkie of Greenfield, Indiana and Roger (Mary Kay) Wilkie of New Braunfels, Texas; her grandchildren Jodi (Ken) Havranek of Austin, Texas, Tamara (Brett) Wilkie-Vana of Ogden, Utah , Kim (Scott) House of San Antonio, Texas, Tyler Wilkie (Danielle) of Fortville, Indiana, Lyndsey (Eric Dickman) Wilkie of New Braunfels, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren, sister Lois Hunt of Owatonna and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters (Phyllis Groby and Gladys Ringhofer) and two infant brothers. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Seasons Hospice @ 8350 S.
