Obituary

Bette J. Johns, 73, formerly of Medford, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Infinia at Owatonna. She was born February 9, 1935 in Austin, Minnesota the daughter of George and Esther (Graves) Lee. She graduated from Medford High School in 1953. Bette married Milan Johns on January 15, 1956 at her parent''s home in Medford. Bette was a homemaker until 1975, when she went to work at E.F. Johnson''s in Waseca putting cb radios together, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching soap operas, and going on camping trips to Wisconsin, Texas, and Nebraska. Bette is survived by her son Malcolm (Tammy) Johns of Owatonna, step granddaughter Lynn, three sisters Alice (Sidney) Jarva, Laura Tuttle, and Annabelle Christenson all of Owatonna, two brothers Donald Lee (friend Marlene Isenberg) of Monticello, and Rick Lee of Adams, NE. Four sisters in laws Sharon Wied of Spring, TX, Sylvia Lee and Shirley Regitschnig both of Medford and Marlene Lee of Lincoln, NE, and one brother in law Lyle Witt of St. Clair, and many nieces and nephews also survive Bette. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Kevin, two brothers Ronald and David, sister Carol Witt, and three brothers in laws David Wied, Lyle Tuttle, and Karl Grams, and one sister in law Lillian Lee. Funeral service will be Wednesday April 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford with the Reverend Dean Rudloff officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday April 8 from 4-7 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Tinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
