Bette Ann Martin, 76, of Owatonna, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, at her home.

She was born June 18, 1948, in Austin, Minnesota to Kenneth and Joyce (Nelson) Braaten. Bette grew up in Austin and Graduated from Austin High School in 1966. She then continued her education in Legal Secretarial Administration in Minneapolis before working for a couple attorney offices and ultimately working for Walbran and Furness Law Firm until her retirement.

Bette was an avid reader, big baseball and Minnesota Vikings fan and loved to golf. She spent most of her free time completing puzzles, cross-stitching and sewing. Bette and Rand were blessed with two children and, she cherished the time she spent with her family and her dog, Spike.

She is survived by her son, Brook (and Kelley Lavin) Martin and their children, Eli and Lily Martin; son, Seth (and Ashley) Martin and their children Ava and Ella Martin; sisters, Ellen Gerber, and Denise Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Jeanne Rennick.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 11AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. A visitation will start one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Red Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Blooming Prairie.
