Obituary

Betty Mae Guse, 84, of Owatonna, Minnesota passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Koda Living Community in Owatonna. Betty was born May 27, 1933 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of George and Erna (Buttenhoff) Brocker. Betty attended Owatonna High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Guse on October 10, 1952 in Owatonna. She worked at the Owatonna Hospital and as a waitress at The Village Cafe and The Kitchen until 2011 when she retired at the age of 78. Betty was a loving, caring, and remarkable lady. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, softball games, pool tournaments, playing cards and meeting for coffee club at Hy Vee. She also enjoyed listening to old time music and loved spending time with her family. Betty always had a smile on her face and was known to her family and friends as 'Betty Boop'. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Home Extension Club. She is survived by her four children, James (and Diane) Guse of Claremont, Michael (and Janice) Guse, Susan Guse, and Mardelle Guse all of Owatonna; four grandchildren, Jarod (and Sarah) Guse of Owatonna, Jennifer (and Clint) Seykora of Hollandale, Brandon (and Paulina) Guse of Waseca, and Carissa Guse of Minneapolis; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Carole (and James) Ebeling of Owatonna and Georgyann (and Joe) Brookins of Ellendale. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Guse (2001) Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 08/11/2017 17:00 08/11/2017 20:00 Service: and one hour prior to the service at the church 08/12/2017 10:30
