Betty Hartwig, 83, of Owatonna, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Sterling House. Betty was born January 26, 1927 in North Freedom, WI the daughter of Harry and Margaret Page. At the age of four, Betty moved with her family to Austin and there she was raised and attended school graduating from Austin High School. She was united in marriage to Marvin Hartwig on September 14, 1946. They made their home in Owatonna. Betty worked outside the home before becoming a stay home mother. Marvin died July 1, 2010. She was a member at United Methodist Church, Owatonna. Betty will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Driver of Faribault; Sue Hartwig of Rochester; a son, Craig Hartwig of Lake Wylie, SC; a grandson, Justin Hartwig of Wexford, PA; and a great granddaughter, Ellie Hartwig of Wexford. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her parents, and six brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date.
