Betty LoRae Schultz, 87, of Owatonna, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Benedictine Living Community.

She was born December 29, 1936 in Owatonna, Minnesota to Albert and Alyce (Wellhausen) Borwege. Betty grew up and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1955. She was the 1954 Homecoming Queen and a Majorette in the marching band. Shortly after graduating high school she met Lowell Schultz, and on August 5, 1956 they were married at Associated Church in Owatonna. Betty worked at Jostens for a short time before working at home to care for their children. In 1974, when Lowell started Schultz Real Estate, Betty worked with him until their retirement in 2001. They loved to spend time in the winter at their house in Arizona.

She is survived by her children, Greg (and Shirley) Schultz of Owatonna, Lisa (and Len) Johnson of Chanhassen; three grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (and LaDonna) Borwege; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Schultz; parents, Albert and Alyce Borwege; siblings, Joan Grunklee, Shirlee Kos, Brian Borwege, Renota Srp.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church.
