Betty Jean Wodnick, 74, of Owatonna, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Mayo Clinic - St. Mary's.
She was born March 25, 1944 in Northfield, MN the daughter of William and Bessie (Sticha) Tupy.
Betty graduated from New Prague High School in 1962. She then went on to school to become a beautician. She did hair for 10 years. On July 31, 1965, she married Richard Wodnick with the couple residing locally in Owatonna, Deerfield and Clinton Falls. Over the course of her working years, Betty worked at Brown Printing, Spx-Electronics and OTC.
She was a vibrant soul with a heart of gold. Betty loved reading and all current events, antiques, bird watching, had a love for animals and listening to the radio.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard Wodnick; daughter, Kristen Wodnick Halverson; granddaughter, Harper Jean Halverson; sisters, Arlene (Rudolph) Skluzacek and Bernice Honza and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bessie Tupy; infant son, Jonas Seth; 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owatonna with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
