Beverly Ann Berg, 77, of Medford, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at Homestead Hospice House.
She was born December 7, 1940 in Bottineau, North Dakota the daughter of William and Esther (Schultz) Teske. Beverly graduated from Kramer High School in 1959. Following graduation she moved to St. Paul where she later met Vern Berg. On April 24, 1962 she married Vern in Watertown, SD. The couple lived and worked in various places until buying a farm in Deerfield Township near Medford in 1973. They lived in Deerfield Township, farming together and raising their children until moving to Medford in 2003. While on the farm Beverly also worked at the Medford Outlet Mall for the Leather Loft and Van Heusen.
Beverly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford for many years. She was active in Ladies Aid and volunteered many hours helping with church functions. She later joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. She was also a member of a Homemaker's Club in Deerfield Township. Beverly enjoyed riding bike, tennis, bowling, playing horseshoes, shopping, crocheting, knitting and traveling. She loved spending winters in Texas and Arizona with her husband in their fifth wheel camper from 2003-2018. Beverly also loved spending time with her grandchildren playing games, going to garage sales, feeding the ducks, baking, etc.
She is survived by her husband, Vern Berg of Medford; son, Cary (and Jacqueline) Berg of Medford; daughter, Kris (and Kevin) Cotton of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Mariah, Brody, Jenna, Andrew, Lauren; brother, Lawrence Teske of St. Paul Park; sister, Doris Rapp of Cannon Falls; brothers-in-law, Gene (and Joann) Berg, Leon (and Mary) Berg and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn (and Victor) Murray; brothers-in-law, Lee (and Kris) Berg, Virgil Rapp; sister in law, Janice Berg.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Parkinson's Foundation or to the donor's choice.
