Beverly Ann Huberty, 82, of Kenyon, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at District One Hospital in Faribault, Minnesota.
Beverly was born January 27, 1932 in Ubet, Wisconsin, the daughter of Einar and Edna (Loney) Johnson. She attended school through the 8th grade in Ubet and then attended high school in Osceola, WI. She lived in St. Paul where she worked as a key punch operator. Beverly was united in marriage to Frank Huberty on December 1, 1951 at St. Agnes Church in St. Paul. Beverly was an at home mom caring for her children while Frank was working. The couple lived in various places including Milltown, WI and Grantsburg, WI. They moved to Kenyon where Beverly worked for Owens Fairway and later for Fred''s IGA as a bookkeeper.
Beverly had the talent of an artist and enjoyed oil painting. She was also a published poet and an avid gardener. She worked in a greenhouse creating floral arrangements. Beverly also enjoyed knitting making hundreds of mittens for under privileged children. She was also an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband Frank Huberty of Kenyon; her children, Christine (and Dean) Carlson of Cushing, WI; David (and Sheryl) Huberty of Belle Plaine, MN; Jeannine Huberty of Knoxville, TN; Steven (and Kerry) Huberty of Oshkosh, WI; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Arlene (and Ellsworth) Johnson of Amery, WI; and two AFS students that became a part of their family, Per from Sweden and Helen from Iceland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Memorial services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon.
