Obituary

Blanche Winifred Rumpho, 86, of Kenyon, died Monday, December 10, 2012. Blanche was born February 9, 1926 in Jackson, MN the daughter of Albert and Winifred (Nourse) Miller. She graduated from Jackson High School, Hamline University, and took masters classes from St. Thomas University to become a biology teacher. Blanche was united in marriage to Morris (Nips) Rumpho on April 28, 1950. Blanche was a kind, generous and honest person; never complaining and always thinking of others first. She accepted everyone without judgment. She is survived by her five children, Andrew Rumpho of Rochester, Ann (Jim) Heckert of Faribault, Beth (Greg) Ellerbusch of Faribault, Mary (Robert) Rumpho-Kennedy of Baxter, and Mark Rumpho of Missoula, Montana; ten grandchildren, Amber (Mark) Hawley, Maia (Matt) Rumpho-Stellpflug, Jacob (Lisa) Heckert, Zachary (Mana) Heckert, Jena (Jeremy) Bothun, Sara Ellerbusch (fianc Josh Sjodin), Caleb (Heather) Kennedy, Alex, Bryce, and Curran Kennedy; and five great grandchildren, Hannah and Liam Hawley, Caden and Colton Heckert, and Quinn Kennedy; brother, Harry (Lee) Miller; sister-in-law, Inez Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Morris (Nips) Rumpho; sister Dorothea Opheim; brother, Dr. Albert Miller. Visitation will be at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Kenyon, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon. Memorials are preferred to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
