Obituary

Brenda Gail Lingenfelter, 60, of Kenyon, died Friday, June 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born July 18, 1957 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of John and Elaine Hanson. She grew up in Kenyon and graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1975. She married Randy Lingenfelter and the couple made their home in Cannon Falls where they raised their four children. Brenda worked as the head chef at the Edgewood Restaurant in Cannon Falls, at Midwest Imports in Cannon Falls and most recently as the culinary cook at the Kenyon Sunset Home. She loved her job and co-workers at the Kenyon Sunset Home. She loved birds and flowers, cats and dogs, camping, fishing, hanging out with her sisters, baking cookies and fudge and a good cup of strong, black coffee. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Angelina (Casey) Landon and Bryce (Danielle) Lingenfelter both of Cannon Falls; step-daughter, Monica Jordan of Cannon Falls; grandchildren, Cody Hansen, Carly Hanson, Jonathyn Banks and Paityn Banks; step-grandchildren, Justine Jordan and Mitchell Jordan; siblings, Judy Erie of Vasa, Gerald (Donna) Hanson of Richmond, Susan (Mike) Knudsen of Hager City, WI, Vicky (Mark) Avery of West Concord, Bruce (Marlene) Hanson of Frontenac, Melanie Bateman of Red Wing and Christian Hanson of Kenyon; her cat, Comet and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elaine; husband, Randy; children Bryan and Sarah Lingenfelter; brothers-in-law, John Erie, Terry Bateman and Eugene Erie and sister-in-law, Marilyn Hanson. A visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Kenyon on Wednesday, June 20th from 4-7 pm and at church on Thursday one hour prior to the service. A Memorial Service will be held at Community Celebration Church in Kasson at 11am on Thursday, June 21, 2018 with Reverend Steve Larson officiating. Burial will be in the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
