Carl Fred Drache, 85, of Owatonna, died Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 21, 1935 in Owatonna the son of Ewald and Mabel (Sabel) Drache. Carl married Marjorie Dalland July 25, 1954 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He worked for Wright Tree Service from 1954 until 1967 when he started his 30-year career at Steele Waseca Cooperative Electric. In 1997, he retired and then spent 17 years working part time for Central Valley Coop in the agronomy division. Carl was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the American Legion, the Elk's Club and the Eagle's Club. He enjoyed fishing and taking trips to Mille Lacs Lake. Carl loved spending time with his family and cherished the time with his grandkids and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Drache of Owatonna; daughters, Linda (and Dale) Jeno of Owatonna, Cathy (and Bruce) Reker of Rochester; son, Dennis "Spud" (and Linda) Drache of Owatonna; grandchildren, Tim Jeno, Tom Jeno, Teresa Snyder, Stacy Heusinkveld, Carrie Coronado, Michael Keck, David Drache, Derek Drache; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and his great grandson, Brody Fort. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm and on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:30am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church, Ecumen Hospice or to the donor's choice.
