Carl Major Reed Jr., 67, of Claremont, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home. Carl was born July 5, 1942 in Litchfield, Minnesota the son of Carl and Olive (Larson) Reed. There he was raised and attended school graduating from Litchfield High School in 1960. He moved to Minneapolis where he attended Minnesota Bible College. He was married in 1964 and had two sons, Matthew and Ty. Carl worked for Graco in for 36 years later retiring. He then moved to Claremont. He enjoyed watching western movies. He collected watches and was interested in historical sites, forts and battlefields. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Reed of Sherman Oaks, CA; Ty (and Chris) Reed of Rochester; two brothers, Kenny Reed of Baltimore, MD; Allen (and Roseann) Reed of Litchfield; two sisters, Betty (and Glen) Rosenow of Grove City; Dorothy Olson of Kimball; three grandchildren, Michaela, Kylee and Carter Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
