Carl E. Ulrich, 95, of Owatonna, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Owatonna Care Center. He was born May 4, 1917 in Steele County, MN the son of Emil and Lena (Dobberstein) Ulrich. Carl owned a bakery in California, and then returned to Owatonna and started farming. He then started Ulrich Trucking which he owned and operated for many years. He married Adrian Wilcoxson in 1946, and she later died in 1985, Carl then married Dorothy Schubert in 1987 and she also died. Carl was a past president of the Eagles Club, and a past charter member of the Sheriff''s Pose. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and making wine. He was a man who could fix anything. He is survived by his daughter Pam (and Robert 'Butch') Black of Owatonna, son Robert (and Sharon) Ulrich of Texas, five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Ella (and Tilmer) Hanson of Medford, Anna Miller of New Prague, and Mary Bettin of Savage, four brothers Herb (and Marge) Ulrich of Albert Lea, Richard Ulrich of Dodge Center, Frank (and Kris) Ulrich of Pemberton, and Fred (and Helen) Ulrich of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, son Ernest, one sister, and six brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday October 16, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday October 17, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Sheriff''s Department Youth Program.
