Carla Sue Saas, 40, of Deerfield Beach FL formerly of Dodge Center died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Deerfield Beach, FL She was born July 7, 1968 in Owatonna, the daughter of Phil and Barbara (Vangness) Hanson. Carla graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1986 and attended Rasmussen College. She married Warren Saas on March 21, 2003 and the couple lived in Deerfield Beach, FL. Boating, music, drawing, snorkeling, reading, writing, and her guitar brought happiness to Carla. She had a passion for helping others, including homeless people, and her mission was to help others realize the importance of taking care of our earth through recycling efforts. Carla is survived by her husband Warren of Deerfield Beach, FL, her parents Phil and Barb Hanson of West Concord, sister Teri (Matt) McIntire of Dodge Center, two brothers Todd (Maria) Hanson of Medford, and Curt Hanson of Deerfield Beach, FL. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother June Baldridge of Dodge Center, four nieces Cassandra McIntire, Angela (Brian) Schroeder, Jessica Garness, and Raven Hanson; four nephews Kirk McIntire, Aaron (Laura) McIntire, Syd Hanson, and Caleb McIntire, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Carla''s life will be 10 AM Saturday August 9, 2008 at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna with the Reverend David Breederland from Faith Community Church officiating.
