Carlene Glow Mason, 82, of Milton, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Milton Senior Living, Milton, Wisconsin of natural causes. She was born June 17, 1934 on the farm in Marshall County, near Britton, South Dakota, the daughter of Frederick Smith and Martha (Olson) Smith. She attended high school in Britton and completed a secretarial course at the Aberdeen School of Commerce. Carlene married John Mason in 1955. They had one daughter, Cynthia Kay (Busch). Carlene lived in La Crosse, WI and Northfield, MN prior to moving to Owatonna. She was employed at Trane Company, La Crosse, bank teller, Northfield and real estate agent in Owatonna. Carlene, along with John were active member of Elks Lodge #1395, and the ring committee. Carlene enjoyed sewing, bird watching, decorating, reading, spending winters in Lake Havasu City and spending time with John. Carlene is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Busch, Milton, WI; and sisters, Delores Carlin of Tucker, Georgia and Joyce Tschetter of Billings, Montana, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Mason; sister, Gayle Boekhoff; brothers, James Smith and Bud Smith; mother, Martha Smith and father, Frederick Smith. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
