Obituary

Carol Ann Carpenter, 83, living at Cedar Lodge (formerly Traditions of Owatonna) passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2025, after a long journey following a stroke in 2005.

Carol was born on December 6, 1941, to Asa and Leona Carpenter in Owatonna. After Carol graduated from Owatonna High School in 1960, she went on to earn a degree at the Minnesota School of Business.

She lived in California for 20 years where she was a Medical Transcriptionist and a Paralegal. She received a master's degree in social work from Santa Barbara University.

Carol moved back to Owatonna in 1982, and was a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 and Parkside Realty. She also worked at Safe Harbor and Vine Street House helping people live independently.

Carol loved Owatonna and was active in the community. A special project of hers was working to save the Moorehouse Park dam.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother and sister, Mary (Carpenter) Caron. She is survived by her siblings, Ralph Carpenter (Sandra) and Alice Nelson (Dave); nephews, David Carpenter and James Carpenter; niece, Melissa Semira (Brian); and great nieces and nephews: Riley and Brodie Semira and Reid and Abby Carpenter.

A memorial gathering will be scheduled for a later date. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Lodge Owatonna or St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna in Carol's memory.

A special thank you to Cedar Lodge (formerly Traditions of Owatonna) that took excellent care of her for many years. Also, a special thank you to Moments Hospice for their care and comfort.
