Carol Lynn Alvina Watts, 71, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born June 10, 1948, in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Victor and Alvina (Jacobson) Nelson. She graduated from Owatonna High School, Class of 1966. While in school, she worked at the State Theater in Owatonna. She then began her 40 + year career at Federated Insurance. Carol Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church in Owatonna. Watching television (and controlling the remote) was a favorite activity. She also enjoyed reading mystery novels, jewelry, bingo and games, trips to Colorado, shopping and supplying candy for all the holidays. She especially enjoyed many travels with her travel companion and niece, Suanne Woller. Carol Lynn's family would like to say a special thank you to their family friend, Roxanne for all the help she gave them in their home over the years. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Watts of Owatonna; son, Jeremy (and Kelley) Watts of Faribault; step-sons, Bruce (and Diane) Watts of Owatonna and Alan (and Carmen) Watts of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Alexis and Jadyn Watts; step grandchildren, Kelly (and Nate) Garland and Ethan (and Samantha) Watts; sisters, Marie (and Gary) Kedziora of Eagan and Annetta (and Eugene) Dienst of Colorado Springs and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Alvina Nelson and brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Mary Nelson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday, November 24th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Reverend Carla Nelson officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.
