Carol J. McColley, 84, of Richfield died Monday March 17, 2025. She was born September 13, 1940 in Owatonna, Minnesota. The daughter of the late Elsworth "Pat" and Helen (Wemple) Stoos.

Carol was married to Lenard McColley on October 28, 1961 in Owatonna and was married for over 44 years before his passing in 2005. She worked for Federated Insurance after high school until she married and then spent her life as a home maker.

She had a strong faith in God and taught Sunday School for a while in the 1970's. She was an avid reader, especially of biographies. She had an interest in genealogy and traced her family back quite far.

She is survived by her son Gary McColley of Richfield, her sister Sharon Casey of Sterling, VA and her brother Jerrold Stoos and Kaisu of Mount Gambier, South Australia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday April 25th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, Minnesota.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
