Charles Chuck Eugene Reese, 61, a lifelong resident of Owatonna, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Chuck was born March 23, 1955 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Darvin and Darlene (Ressler) Reese. He attended Owatonna High School. Chuck married Susan Vale on June 29, 1974 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna. They made their home in Owatonna and had three children, Mark, Keith, and Tonya. Chuck worked as a roofer for Anderson Roofing which later became Malo Roofing in Owatonna from 1973 to 2011. In 2011, Chuck was diagnosed with cancer and retired from roofing. Chuck was a very proud grandpa and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a devoted son and dedicated every Saturday to visiting his mother in Blooming Prairie. Chuck enjoyed hunting with his sons, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and playing cards, especially euchre, with his coworkers after work and family. He is survived by his wife, Susan Reese of Owatonna; his sons, Mark (Misty) Reese and Keith (Diana) Reese and his daughter, Tonya (Peter) Hines all of Owatonna; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother, Darlene Reese of Blooming Prairie; brothers, Darrell (Lena) Reese of Blooming Prairie and Jerome Jerry (Koni) Reese of Owatonna; sister, Sherreese Sherry (Brad) Grobner of Owatonna; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Darvin. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:30 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
