Charlotte Marie Heers, 83, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Koda Living Community. Charlotte was born September 8, 1929 in Owatonna, MN the daughter of Peter and Mildred (Oxley) Brosen. She attended country school through the eighth grade and later graduated from Owatonna High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Wallace Heers on August 12, 1956 at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church. Together the couple farmed and raised their family. Charlotte was a life long member of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church. She was the treasurer for Dania Cemetery for over forty years. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafting, and spending time with her family especially her four grandchildren. She is survived by three children; Susan (and Brent) Turnipseed of Brookings, SD, Robert (and Marsha) Heers of Owatonna and James (and April) Heers of Minneapolis, four grandchildren, Matthew (and Laurel) Heers, Nathan Heers, Annabelle Heers, and Calvin Heers. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor (and Kenneth) Stevens of Owatonna, her brother Sidney (and Cornelia) Brosen of Owatonna, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wallace, and daughter Sally Heers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 3-6 P.M. and one hour prior to the funeral service at church on Sunday. Funeral services will be held Sunday May 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Weisenburger officiating. Interment will be in the Dania Cemetery.
