Obituary

It is with great sorrow to announce Christopher "Chris" J. Kapp of Owatonna, Minnesota passed away on June 7, 2023.

Chris was born on February 9, 1956, and was lovingly received into the home of his parents Chris and Jean Kapp, in Westbrook, Minnesota. Chris was baptized and confirmed at Saint Anthony Catholic Church. While growing up, Chris was a boy scout, accomplished pianist, and played the drums in the high school band. After graduating from Westbrook High School in 1974, Chris attended Mankato State University earning an associate degree.

Following his passion for caring for others that started as a volunteer on the Westbrook Ambulance Association during high school, Chris followed his calling to work in emergency medicine for over 40 years. When not serving others, Chris loved spending time with his daughter Caitlyn, family, and friends, building models, motorcycle riding, playing the piano, flying radio-controlled airplanes, and cheering on the Boston Celtics.

Chris is survived by his daughter Caitlyn Kapp, siblings Arretta Eggleston, John Kapp and Barbara Savage, nieces and nephews Aaren, Travis, Jarred, Morgan, Hana, and Macy, cousins, numerous friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Chris is proceeded in death by his parents Chris and Jean Kapp, grandparents, numerous family members and his brother-in-law Smith Eggleston.

A private family service will be held with internment at the Westbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent in care of Arretta Eggleston to 534 St. Croix Trail North, Lakeland, Minnesota, and all memorial donations will be reserved for his daughter, Caitlyn.
