Obituary

Clarence T. Chladek 69, of West Concord, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester. He was born May 5, 1942 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of George and Patricia (Kubicek) Chladek. Clarence grew up on a farm near Claremont, where he enjoyed raising rabbits, birds, and many other animals. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964, and then was with the Merchant Marines for eighteen years. He moved to Circle Drive Manor in West Concord in 1989. Clarence was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in West Concord. He enjoyed watching religious videos and reading scripture. Clarence was known as a very generous person. He is survived by his siblings, Sharon (and Jim) Ryan of Friend, NE, Karen (and Jay) Horsman of Rochester, Constance (and John) Welti of Plainview, Bernis (and George) Edmond of Hillsdale, WI, Annalle Baumgartner of West Concord, Timothy (and Ardelle) Chladek of Rochester, Lawrence (and Mariko) Chladek of Sacrament, CA, Gregory (and Janet) Chladek of Clayton, WI, Diane (and Jerry) Gottschalk of Byron, David Chladek of West Concord, Kristine Chladek of Rochester, and Cindy Chladek of Clayton, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Terrance and Richard, and a brother in law Lanny Baumgartner. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home West Concord on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held Saturday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday December 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Father Will Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Vincent dePaul Cemetery in West Concord. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donor''s choice.
