Clifford (Cliff) Donovan Zufall, of Owatonna, passed away Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca. He was 94 years old. Cliff was born May 6, 1920 in Springbrook, WI. He was the son of J.F. Zufall and Eva Maude Zufall. Cliff graduated from Hammond High School (IN) in 1938 and attended Indiana University. In 1941 he joined the Navy and was discharged in November 1945. Cliff married Jacquelyn Louise Vandevort on July 31st, 1943. He worked for Keyes Fibre for 34 years until his retirement from their Sacramento division in 1982. Cliff was active in the Sacramento community working with the Boy Scouts, the American Production and Inventory Control Society, the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and Meals a la Car. Cliff and Jackie were active in their church for almost fifty years. Cliff was a member of the South Sacramento Rotary for thirty years and past president. He was a lifetime volunteer at the Methodist Hospital and served on various boards and as Chairman of the hospital board. Cliff's hobbies included woodworking, gardening, golf, traveling, and anything to do with horses. Cliff was a devoted family man and cherished time spent with family and friends. Cliff is survived by daughter-in-law Glenda Zufall Hanson (Luther), grandsons, Brian (Karla) Zufall and Scott Zufall, great-grandchildren Adam, Elliot, and Lilah Zufall,sister-in-law Lois Parbst, great-nephew Larry (Vicki) Mitchell and close friend Rose Flemming. Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Jackie (2002) and sons Don Zufall (1988) and David Zufall (1996), three brothers and one sister. Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to service. The Reverend John Linde will be officiating. There will be a future burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN.
