Clyde Joseph McVary, 80, of Kenyon, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Kenyon Sunset Home. He was born February 13, 1931 in Wayzata, the son of Patrick and Odell (Pouliot) McVary. He attended Patrick Henry High School. After high school he met Marian and they kept in touch as he joined the army to serve his country. They married on June 12, 1954 at the United Methodist Church in Nerstrand. They moved to Montana where their first child was born. They came back to Minnesota where they resided in Crystal, and shortly there after the family moved back to Kenyon. Clyde worked for Coast to Coast for over 35 years. Clyde had a passion for fishing and hunting, always taking his 'mini' Cabela''s with him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Marian McVary of Kenyon, daughters, Pat (and David) Schreiber of Kenyon, Kay (and Scott) Nord of Oconomowoc, WI, Janet (and Jeff) McBride of Elko, grandchildren Emily (Jeff) Schoenfelder, Maari Schreiber, Sara (Lee) Eppler, Brian (Anne) Nord, Madison, Mollie and Meghan McBride; great grandchildren, Kyra, Preston and Trey Schoenfelder, Gage Eppler; sisters, Donna VanHouse, Charlotte (Earl) Hansen; sister in law, Sharon McVary. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darwin McVary. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 4 pm to 7 pm; and one hour before the service on Saturday. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11 am at United Methodist Church Kenyon with Reverend Dana Houck officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon.
