Curtis Duane Luebke, 80, of Kenyon, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Kenyon Sunset Home.
He was born August 12, 1939 in Faribault the son of Erwin and Bertha (Danielson) Luebke. Curt graduated from Kenyon High School in 1957. He served 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and helped his dad on the family farm. Curt owned and operated Curt's Standard Station in Kenyon. On October 27, 1962, he married Nordis Nelson at Vang Lutheran Church. Curt owned and operated Curt's Cannonball Truckstop for 25 years. After selling the truckstop he started Medivators in Cannon Falls. He retired in 2010 after selling Grandpa's Garage.
Curt was a member of the Commercial Club and Rotary in Cannon Falls as well as First Lutheran Church in Kenyon. He loved collecting cars and drag racing his car, the Cannonball Express. He also loved to travel, have coffee with the guys, mowing his lawn and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Nordis Luebke of Kenyon; daughters, Brenda (and Todd) Angelstad of Kenyon, Lisa (and Paul) Peterson of Kenyon; son, Brad (and Catherine) Luebke of Kenyon; grandchildren, Mia Peterson, Ally Peterson, Madison Luebke, Cal Luebke, Tanner Angelstad; sisters, Lila Cole of Kenyon, Jean (and Lavern) Benson of Kenyon, Helen Porter of Saratoga Springs, NY; sister-in-law, Janet (and Dennis) Greseth of Rochester and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, John Cole and David Porter.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4pm to 7pm and at First Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday from 10am to 11am. Memorial services will be held Monday, September 9, 2019 at 11am at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon with Pastor Julie Rogness officiating.
