Curtis Mathias Pritchard, 80, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 16, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born July 11, 1941 to Raymond and Adeline Pritchard in Park Rapids, Minnesota. He was the youngest of 14 children. He attended Hubbard County Country District #88 School and Park Rapids St. Peter Catholic School. Curtis worked at the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation in Owatonna for 34 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing and coaching men's and women's fastpitch softball and baseball, trap shooting, music (country, old time and gospel), morning coffee, visiting with family and friends, telling stories and making people laugh. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlean Pritchard of Owatonna; sister, Avice Zummak of Litchfield, MN; brother, Gaylas (Phyllis) of West Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Alice Pritchard of Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Adeline; brothers, George, Donald, Percy, Lester, Maynard and Calvin; sisters, Beatrice, Margaret, Rachael, Virginia and Vida. A Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
