Cynthia L. Vierling, 52, of Owatonna, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at her home. She was born June 30, 1957 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of LaVerne and Marlene (Wencl) Hansen. Cindy graduated from OHS in 1975. She worked at the AW Root Beer stand and Happy Chef in Owatonna, and then married Francis Vierling July 7, 1979, and the couple were later divorced. She has been employed with Truth Hardware for the past twenty years. Cindy was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she also enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, fishing, and flowers. She is survived by her mother, Marlene Hansen of Owatonna, daughter, KatieVierling of Owatonna; son, Jim (and Beth) Vierling of Owatonna; three grandchildren Natavia, Dereon, and Layla; brother, Dale Hansen of Owatonna; sisters, Diane (and Al) Humphries of Waseca; La Jean (and James Blair) Ulestad of Owatonna; one niece Diane, and two nephews Jeremy and Raymond. Her grandparents, father, and one brother Raymond preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday July 27, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Bixby.
