Daisy Jeanette Vesely, 91, of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Luella''s house of Care. She was born May 28, 1916 in West Concord the daughter of Harrison and Daisy (Ellis) Howard. Daisy married Robert Vesely June 28, 1939 in Owatonna. The couple farmed together for many years following their marriage. Daisy was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, painting, and traveling. She loved watching and listening to the birds as they frequented her bird feeders. Daisy loved to plan parties whether it was coffee with her friends; a costume party for halloween or a neighborhood get together. For many years Daisy and Robert square danced and enjoyed traveling together. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (and Lyle) Meschke of Owatonna; grandsons, Shawn Meschke of Farmington, Ryan Meschke of Portland, Oregon; great granddaughters, Cassie Meschke, Carly Meschke and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8pm and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held April 26, 2008 at 12:30pm at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Pat Hinker officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Church or to the donor''s choice.
