Dakota Lee Calhoun, 14 month old son of Melanie R. Harris and Dale L. Calhoun Jr., Owatonna died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. Dakota Lee Calhoun was born in Owatonna on December 19, 2007 to the proud parents of Melanie Harris and Dale Calhoun Jr. He was a happy baby that brought joy and happiness to everyone he met. He touched so many lives and now lives in heaven with his guardian angels, Tristan Davis Hershberger and A.J. DeMars. He is survived by his parents Dale Calhoun Jr. of Owatonna and Melanie R. Harris of Owatonna, a sister, Brooke Olson of Madelia, grandparents, Dale (and Yvette Oakley) Calhoun Sr. of Owatonna, Dan and Chrystal Pfarr of Springfield, great grandparents, Francis Pfarr of Walnut Grove, Patricia Steinhouse of Redwood Falls, Charles and Fern Calhoun of Barnum, Michael and Linda Fryke of Michigan, Dennis and Cheryl Dotterweich of Waseca, his aunts and uncles, Myria (and Dale Ourada) Castle of Morton, Maranda Castle of Redwood Falls, Cassandra (and Jasin Hershberger) Calhoun of Owatonna, Danielle Pfarr of Springfield, Dustin Pfarr of Springfield, Harley Pfarr of Springfield, Christopher Stadin of Nickerson, Cody Stadin of Nickerson, and many great aunts, uncles, cousins and family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katherine Stadin; great grandparents, Arnold Steinhouse who is now teaching Dakota how to golf in heaven, William Pfarr, Elmer and Ruth Folsum, Richard and Helen Eaton, Delores Fryke; great uncle, Kevin Fryke; cousin, Tristan Davis Hershberger and friend, A.J. DeMars. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
