Dalene Louise Schlobohm, 84, of Owatonna, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Dalene was born March 5, 1934 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Walter and Serena (Meyer) Velzke. She married Delbert Schlobohm on June 18, 1955. The couple made their home in Owatonna. Dalene was a rural school teacher for three years and substitute teacher at Medford and Claremont public schools. Dalene was active in her Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dalene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, attending church, teaching, gardening, and family fishing trips. She is survived by her loving husband, Delbert Schlobohm; daughters, Deanne Nelson and Deb (Peter)Fahrendorff; son, Dean Schlobohm; brother, Delmer Velzke; sisters, Delores Schmidtke and Lois Velzke; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Blaker; brother, Donald Velzke. Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with The Reverend Greg Schlicker officiating.
