Dallas David Howell, 81, of Owatonna, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna.
He was born August 30, 1935 in Sisseton, South Dakota to the late Delbert and Josephine (Pavin) Howell.

His legacy has been handed down to his son, Myron, who to this day is in the transportation business.
Dallas married his wife, Vivian in 1956 and spent every day of his life loving her. They enjoyed long drives and leisure evenings on their porch swings together. Prior to starting a family, he built his own race car and was a part of a motorcycle group. He had a passion for computers, trucks, truck driving and older country music. A few of Dallas' favorite pastimes are hunting, fishing and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Eileen (Larson) Howell; son, Myron Howell and wife, Tamra Howell; his daughter, Michelle Larson and husband, Peter Larson; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many other close friends and family.
