Darien J. Rothstein 14, of Owatonna died Tuesday, August 26,2008. He was born February 5, 1994 in Waseca the son of Christopher and Carrie (Ketterling) Rothstein. Darien would have been a freshman at OHS this fall participating in football and Lacrosse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ultimate Frisbee, dogs and model airplanes. Darien was involved with the Youth Group at United Methodist Church. Darien is survived by his mother Carrie (and John Broton) Rothstein of Owatonna; father Chris (and Jane Kalow) Rothstein of Warsaw, two sisters Baihley Rothstein and Olivia Broton. Darien is also survived by his maternal grandparents Fran Ketterling of Owatonna, and Neil Ketterling of Mississippi, maternal great grandparents Lillian Peterson of Wheaton, and Larry (and Violet) Ketterling of Texas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Nancy Rothstein, maternal great grandfather Marlin Peterson, and paternal great grandfather Meynard Neirmeyer Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday August 29 from 5-8 PM and at United Methodist Church on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 30 at 10:30 AM at United Methodist Church with the Reverend Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
